BRITISH LIBRARY
THE TASK
The British Library and its Business & IP Centre needed to drive media coverage in relevant business press to boost attendance to and awareness of the British Library’s National Startup Day - a whole day of events and talks - and highlight the Centre’s value to UK startups and business.
THE SOLUTION
Pre-event activity kicked off with the launch of a news story highlighting that the Centre helped 50 people become entrepreneurs every day in the last year. The post-event activity was a combination of placing interviews with the British Library CEO on how he runs the Library as a business, case study placement to profile their journey on the Innovating for Growth programme and advice pieces for the startup community, including Julie Deane (founder of Cambridge Satchel Company and Tim Campbell (a winner of The Apprentice).
THE IMPACT
CLO PR smashed targets to generate national coverage including Daily Express, London Live, The I, BBC Radio 4 Today and Real Business. The PR helped the event sell out and create wider appeal around the Centre’s most prised entrepreneur graduates.
Combined reach: 7million.
